She founded Alium Works to build lasting capability across the industry, through training, consulting, and now assurance.

Ann is a published author and sought-after speaker at industry conferences, and works closely with organisations to solve complex safety and operational challenges. She’s widely regarded as a thought leader in the space, known for her deep expertise and genuine commitment to the people entering the industry.

In 2024, Ann was named Safety Person of the Year at the ARISO National Rail Industry Awards, recognition for a career built on getting people into rail, and keeping them there.
