Introducing Skill-Specific Compliance Training developed with Rail Industry Input
Rail safety workers are legally required to complete training, apply the knowledge gained, and use tools as intended. Competency management is at the heart of rail safety, ensuring workers possess the skills and expertise necessary to perform their roles effectively and safely.
This module is specifically tailored to address competency management in the rail industry. Where gaps in a competency management system are identified, this course provides practical solutions such as conducting training needs analyses and developing training plans to address these deficiencies.
Competency management is not just about compliance—it’s a foundation for reducing risks, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring safer rail networks. By honing this critical skill, participants can play a pivotal role in driving safer, more reliable operations while advancing their professional knowledge and career prospects.
This stand-alone course takes a focused approach, allowing learners to concentrate on a single unit at a time. This method makes it easier to absorb and apply the knowledge effectively, building confidence and precision without the pressure of broader study demands.
Developed in collaboration with the Rail Industry Safety and Standards Board (RISSB) and seasoned rail professionals, this module incorporates the latest industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Designed to meet the practical needs of the rail sector, it equips participants with actionable skills they can apply immediately to improve rail safety outcomes.
